Dual Class Teacher
Dual Class Teacher: $400/ month
The Dual-Class Teacher is responsible for caring for and teaching two classes of 20+ students. Duties include delivering lessons, creating learning materials, ensuring children's well-being and safety, managing daily routines, and contributing to centre activities and parent partnerships.
Facilitate the Integration Programme (e.g., opening/closing the centre, ensuring readiness for operations, welcoming children and parents)
Plan, supervise, and deliver lessons for two classes using diverse teaching methods and classroom management strategies, aligned with centre policies and philosophy
Design and modify weekly overviews and lesson plans
Prepare and implement age-appropriate teaching aids/materials
Evaluate and improve teaching methods and classroom management strategies
Prepare learning activities, resources, and materials for both classes, including:
Creating and organizing teaching aids (cut, paste, laminate).
Displaying materials and crafts on theme boards.
Sourcing suitable pictures/photos for displays.
Completing lesson evaluations to reflect objectives met and assess teaching effectiveness.
Monitor children's development and update progress regularly:
Upload photos of individual children’s work on Taidii weekly
Maintain accurate records and address developmental needs promptly
Prepare and update children’s developmental portfolios and progress reports each semester
Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences each semester
Ensure proper maintenance of teaching resources, classroom arrangement, and learning environment
Responsible for daily routines: meals, milk feeds, showers, diaper changes, temperature checks, nap preparation, medication administration, etc.
Interact with children in a nurturing and effective manner, using positive discipline techniques at all times
Ensure children’s well-being and safety in all areas of development (e.g., visual health screening, fire drills)
Record and document children’s height and weight twice each term on Taidii (e.g., Term 1 Week 1 and Week 9)
Actively contribute to all centre initiatives, projects, activities, and events (e.g., planning field trips, attending cluster-wide events)
Manage class administration, including classroom cleanliness, issuing letters/memos to parents, marking attendance
Collaborate with parents and the community to support the holistic development of children:
Prepare and distribute a termly newsletter for each class
Communicate daily with parents via Taidii for new children (1-2 weeks)
Send weekly updates via Taidii (Lower level: 2 activities, Upper level: 1 activity)
Provide termly updates for parents (Toddlers only, following PIES guidelines)
Encourage parental involvement in center events
Organize workshops for parents
