Lead Teacher: $200/month
The Lead Teacher supports the Centre Principal and Vice-Principal by coordinating staff schedules, organizing events, maintaining quality standards, and planning parent and community activities. In their absence, the Lead Teacher assumes the role of Principal.
Key duties include:
Assisting in staff schedule coordination, event planning, and ensuring quality standards.
Collaborating on parent and community engagement activities.
Ensuring smooth and efficient execution of centre-run events.
Oversee centre operations in the absence of the Principal and Vice-Principal
Assist in planning and coordinating staff schedules/rostering
Support centre staff in collaboration with the Principal and Vice-Principal
Monitor and maintain:
Centre cleanliness and hygiene
Health and safety (e.g., fire extinguishers, circuit box)
Curriculum and learning resources
Safe-distancing practices
First-aid kits
Fire drills
National Library book borrowing/returns
Classroom standards (allergy lists, height/weight charts, fire evacuation notices, housekeeping, etc.)
Standardized print-rich labels throughout the centre
Centre log book
Running Cluster-wide Programmes in the Centre
Plan and lead centre staff in assigned cluster-wide programmes
Distribute tasks and guide staff in programme planning
Ensure smooth execution and coherence of programmes
Confirm that programme plans are vetted by the Principal and submitted on time
Coordinate and collaborate on cluster-wide programmes
Take meeting minutes during cluster video conferences
Advise staff on appropriate practices (e.g., child discipline, staff code of conduct)
Support staff via Taidii chats
Draft message templates for center or ad-hoc activities (e.g., birthday messages, welcome messages for new parents, event notifications)
Compile and ensure Class Newsletters are submitted on time (using a fixed template)
Conduct lessons and provide relief teaching for staff on medical or other leave
