Leave and Off
Leave
"Leave" pertains to the official entitlements in accordance with the Ministry of Manpower (MoM). There are different categories of leave:
Annual Leave (MoM Link)
Sick and Hospitalisation Leave (MoM Link)
Please note that in accordance with MoM, to qualify for paid sick leave, you must be certified unfit for work by a medical practitioner registered under the Medical Registration Act or Dental Registration Act. This means overseas medical certificates and medical certificates from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners do not qualify.
Maternity Leave (MoM Link)
Off
"Off" represents additional privileges provided by our company. It's important to note that the company maintains the right to adjust or revoke these benefits if misused. Here are the special "Off" provisions:
Compassionate Off: We understand the pain of losing a loved one. In such unfortunate events, the company extends Compassionate Off. For the passing of grandparents or siblings-in-law, one day will be provided. For immediate family members (parents, parents-in-law, spouse, siblings, children), three days will be granted. To apply, please present the death certificate to your reporting manager for verification.
Marriage Off: A hearty congratulations and our best wishes if you are getting married! If you're tying the knot, we want to celebrate with you by offering three bonus days off. Please provide your marriage certificate to your reporting manager for verification.
Birthday Off: We believe in celebrating milestones. Every employee is entitled to a special Birthday Off if they have been with the company for a minimum of one year as of January 1st. This bonus day can be availed during your birthday month.
